This painting was inspired by the overwhelming feeling of peace felt in the presence of great Carolina Oaks; their wisps of feathery moss, blowing gently with waves of wind. The moment of silence in which we find ourselves when sitting under her strands of Spanish moss. There is something magnificent about the detail and uniqueness of an Oak tree, and I felt compelled to replicate such intricacy through this painting.
